Normality is a paved road: it is comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it.
Vincent van Gogh
Your Year of Testing the Rule. This is the year you find out which of your firmly held positions still hold when you press on them, and what opens up in the ones that don't. One belief you've been carrying since before you could name it meets a real situation in spring, and the situation wins, and you are bigger for the loss. A version of yourself you kept sketching at the edges starts taking on weight, gaining detail, becoming someone you recognize. By autumn, a choice arrives that the old framework would have answered automatically. You pause. You feel the pause as power. The truer self doesn't announce itself all at once. It shows up in the small decisions where you stop reaching for the comfortable answer and stay with the better question instead.
