The short version
We collect your name, email, and birth details to generate your reading and deliver your emails. We do not sell your data to advertisers. We use Stripe to process payments and never see your card number. That is it.
What we collect and why
Your name and email address We use these to create your account, address your readings personally, and deliver your daily email or annual reading to your inbox.
Your birth details — date, time, and place of birth We use these to calculate your birth chart and generate readings that are specific to you. Without this information, we cannot provide the service.
Payment information Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, expiry date, or security code. Stripe retains payment records in accordance with their own privacy policy, available at stripe.com.
Technical information When you visit our website, we may collect standard technical information such as your browser type, device type, and the pages you visit. We use this to understand how the site is used and to fix problems. We do not use this information to identify you personally.
How we use your information
We use your information only to provide the service you signed up for:
- To generate your birth chart and write your readings
- To deliver your daily email, annual reading, or both (if you have a Bundle subscription)
- To manage your subscription and process renewals
- To send you service emails, such as trial reminders and renewal notices
- To respond to questions or support requests you send us
- To understand our audience in aggregate for internal reporting
We do not sell advertising space or share your data with advertisers. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own purposes.
Who we share your information with
We work with a small number of trusted services to deliver Your Birth Stars.
Stripe — payment processing. Your payment details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by us.
Resend — email delivery. Your name and email address are passed to Resend solely to deliver your emails. Resend does not use this information for any other purpose.
Anthropic — AI-generated readings. Your birth details are passed to Anthropic's API to generate your reading. Anthropic processes this data in accordance with their API usage policies.
Plausible Analytics — we use Plausible to understand how our website is used in aggregate. Plausible collects no personal data, uses no cookies, and does not track individuals.
Genderize.io — we pass your first name to Genderize.io at signup to infer gender probability for internal demographic reporting. This information is never shown to you or shared externally. It is used only to understand the composition of our subscriber base in aggregate.
Meta (Facebook) Pixel — we use the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement. The pixel collects page views and conversion events (such as checkout starts and purchases) to help us measure the performance of our ads on Facebook and Instagram. No personal subscriber data — such as birth details, reading content, or chart information — is sent to Meta. Only page view and conversion events are shared. You can opt out of Meta Pixel tracking by enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings, adjusting your browser's cookie settings, or managing your ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.
We do not share your information with anyone else.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion of your account and data, we will delete your personal information within 30 days. We may retain anonymized data — such as reading statistics with no personal identifiers — indefinitely.
Payment records are retained as required by law.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any information that is inaccurate
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Withdraw consent and cancel your subscription at any time

Cookies
We use Plausible Analytics, which requires no cookies and collects no personal data. The Meta Pixel may set cookies to measure ad performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Any other cookies used are limited to those necessary for the website to function.
Children
Your Birth Stars is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify subscribers by email before the changes take effect. Minor updates, such as clarifications, may be made without notice. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated.
