Your Year of Standing in Your Own Name. This is the year you stop managing how you are received and start simply being the thing people receive. There is a difference, and you have always suspected it. Something you make this year, a piece of work or a gesture or a plan sketched on the back of something, comes out better than you expected because you stopped steering it toward approval halfway through. That is the discovery. In autumn, a room of people looks to you for a direction, and you give it quietly, without the armor of credentials, and it lands cleanly.
