Sometimes you know what you need to do before you can explain why you need to do it. The clarity comes first, clean and specific, and then you spend days or weeks building the case that will make sense to other people. This is not backwards thinking. This is the way your mind works when it is working well, recognizing patterns before it can name them, seeing the solution while the problem is still forming its edges. The challenge is not doubting the answer just because the reasoning hasn't caught up yet.
