Scorpio

Sometimes you know something is over before you know what it means that it is over. The clarity comes in pieces, and the first piece is always the hardest one to hold because it asks you to let go of the story you have been telling about how things work. You have been carrying an answer around for weeks now, turning it over in your hands like a stone, and only this week do you recognize the question it was meant to solve. The relief is not in having the answer but in finally being able to stop pretending you do not already know what you know.
