The loneliness you are feeling has nothing to do with how many people you saw or what you did together. It shows up when you notice that the conversations you can have in certain rooms have become smaller than the ones you are having inside your own head. You can still show up and play the part, but there is a distance now between what you actually think and what the room can hold, and that distance is where this feeling lives. The loneliness comes from outgrowing the shared language before finding the new one.
