The project that started with excitement and then stalled might be telling you something about the excitement itself. Sometimes what we mistake for genuine interest is actually the thrill of being seen as someone who would take on that kind of work. You can feel the difference now, in the stalling, because the part of you that was performing enthusiasm has gone quiet while the part that actually cares about the outcome remains awake. The question is not how to restart the momentum but whether the thing you thought you wanted is the thing you still want when no one is watching you want it.
