Sometimes the solution shows up weeks before you have figured out how to phrase the problem properly. You recognize it immediately, the way you recognize a face in a crowd, but you cannot yet explain to anyone else why this particular option feels right while the others feel like wearing someone else's clothes. The knowing sits there, patient and unhelpful, while you work backwards toward the question that will make it reasonable to other people. What looks like procrastination is often just the slow work of building a case for what you already understand.
