The plan you made six months ago was never meant to survive contact with the actual work unchanged. What you are calling revision is actually the plan doing what plans do when they meet the world: they get more specific, more honest about what they cost, more clear about which parts were wishes and which parts were blueprints. The version you are working from now carries the weight of everything you have learned since the first version, including the things you wish you had not had to learn. This is not the plan failing. This is the plan becoming real enough to work.
