Cancer

The project that started with such clear momentum and then went quiet is not asking you to abandon it. It is asking you to remember why you picked it up in the first place, and whether that reason still feels true when you strip away everything you thought it would become. Sometimes the stalling is not failure but the work finding its actual shape, which is always smaller and more particular than the shape you imagined. You return to it now not because you owe it completion, but because you owe yourself the chance to see what it was really trying to teach you.
