The thing you are afraid of wanting is the same thing you have been quietly moving toward for months. You can see it in the small choices that felt like detours but were actually steps, the way you have been clearing space without naming what the space is for. The fear is not that you might fail to get what you want. The fear is that getting it will require you to stop managing how it arrives and let it arrive on terms that are not entirely yours.
